Wards are not the same as neighborhoods
They are two different systems. Wards are 17 administrative divisions dating to 1852 and the 1870s. Neighborhoods are what people call where they live. Some places are known by their ward number, like the 7th and the 9th. Others are known by name. Both are in the collection, because both are how people answer the question.
Each crop top carries the neighborhood on the front. The backs carry the ward number, the 504, or the house mark.
